Has anyone else seen the series called Rome? Its one of the most enthralling show I have ever seen and I just found out that HBO is canning it! Very sad indeed.

I did find an online petieion to bring it back- so if you to loved the show please sign it
http://www.petitiononline.com/rome_hbo/petition.html

It cost far too much money. I enjoyed it, but I can understand why HBO went with cheaper alternatives.

It was a silly show, but I loved it anyway.
I also think it was the best looking show in the history of TV. It was absolutely gorgeous in HD.
Kevin McKidd has a new show starting on NBC called Journeyman, but he will always be associated with the epic character Lucius Vorenus.

Rome was awesome. It got me to order HBO On Demand, therefore being the sole cause that introduced me to Oz.
I'm watching season two right now and while I enjoy the show it wasn't the show I was most upset at being cancelled (I'm still pissed about Dead Like Me).

It had violence, nudity... what else could you ask for?
-Petey

The show was a joint venture between BBC and HBO. If BBC pulled out, I can see the "costs too much" excuse being a good one.
