<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">DALLAS -- The Mavericks have beaten all the top teams in the NBA at least once. But owner Mark Cuban said that's not cause for celebration. "This isn't the time of year that reputations are made," Cuban said. "We saw that when we were going 14-0 [during the 2002-03 season] and people were yelling, 'They're not for real, they're not for real.' "We got to the conference finals, but we didn't get any farther." Which is why beating San Antonio, Detroit, Miami, Indiana, Phoenix and Denver doesn't make Cuban want to start ordering any NBA championship T-shirts. But there is one intangible that has Cuban's attention. "What I really, really like is, to a man, I don't think anybody thinks we've played our best basketball yet, and that's exciting to think," he said. "It's still a long, long way to go, but you've got to like what you've seen so far." What coach Avery Johnson likes the most is the way his team has been able to nip the opponents' late rallies in the bud. "I kinda get excited when teams really make fierce comebacks on us and we're able to withstand it and get stops," Johnson said. "I think all of the really good defensive teams are terrific in the last five minutes."</div> Source
I think we have a small chance, but I want to see a healthy side beat the Spurs and play consistently
the potential is there...cant make bad dumb mistakes in the playoffs like we have in the past. have to be able to put games away, and with a little more emphasis on defense this year, i think we are able. san antonio is the only team out west that scares me, i think dallas could take anyone else consistently in a series.
