No Time for Powe?

Leon Powe started against the 76ers Friday because Antawn Jamison didn't travel with the team. Powe has not been in the rotation since he came back three ago and there's a good chance his playing time will be limited for the remainder of the season. The Cavs frontcourt is deep when healthy and there is simply not enough minutes to go around. Time on the floor will be even more difficult to get once Zydrunas Ilgauskas re-signs on the 22nd.

"I'm trying to get him minutes to give him a taste of game action to see if we can get him up to speed for the playoffs," head coach Mike Brown tells The Plain Dealer. "If Shaq [O'Neal] is healthy and Antawn is healthy, it is going to be hard to play Leon. The minutes may not be there for him."

"In terms of him getting hurt, I don't think the knee is holding him back," Brown added. "In terms of him getting used to the speed of the game and him trusting the knee, probably. Only on-court time will help out. That may happen now, but it also may be playing in the summer and the preseason next year or whatever it may be. He's got to continue getting time on the floor.
