During his stretch, Nocioni averaged 18.9 ppg and 11.9 rpg. He hauled in a career-high 17 rebounds, including 16 defensive boards, and scored 20 points to help Chicago post a 104-101 victory over the red-hot New Jersey Nets on April 11. During the 2006 All-Star Weekend in Houston, Nocioni was selected to participate in the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge. He finished with 13 points, two rebounds, two assists, two blocked shots and one steal off the bench, helping the Sophomore team to a 106-96 victory.
