The season, which premieres Sept. 17, will feature fighters in the 205-pound and 155-pound divisions.</div> This is underwhelming. I don't really consider these guys personalities, just decent fighters. I would rather they used this opportunity to hype a non-title fight between two guys with a little more character. Not to mention that 205 and 155 are the deepest divisions in the UFC. It should be 170 and 207+
I don't feel like Mir is the number one contender, and I don't feel like this will make for an entertaining season.
Yea, I don't think this will be nearly as good as Rampage vs. Griffin. Rampage is a character and it's just enjoyable with him there. I would think a more entertaining season would be Lesnar (even though he hasn't won in mma) vs. Arlovski (is he gone now?)
I think Mir is a pretty bad choice. If his WEC commentating is any indication, that dude shouldnt be a TV personality.
you're crazy chocolove! Mir is a great commentator IMO, a little stiff but a solid MMA comentator. As for coaches.. meh they'll probably be good coaches but not great personalities. Then again Season 1 had Chuck and Randy, neither are really great personalities but were competitive and good coaches yet it still worked. I don't think they can do a HW TUF because there just isn't enough talent out there. HW is a thin, thin division as is 185.
