Players who are better than I expected them to be (yet):
    Devin Booker
    Clint Capela
George Hill (I thought the Jazz won that trade, but not by THIS much)
Paul Millsap (I thought he'd've dropped off more)
Austin Rivers (he's not great, but he's still in the NBA, which is more than I thought)
Giannis Antetokounmpo (really made the leap this year)
    Jamychal Green (who? Exactly!)

Players I expected to be (a lot) better:
    Mario Hezonja
Kyle Anderson (he was killing it in SL)
Boban (Stan obviously can't stand his slow feet)

    Yours?

Non Blazer Surprises.... Kevin Love has found himself. Devin Booker has looked great early in the season. The biggest surprise in all of sports is Gary Sanchez. Seriously, the closest thing to Johnny Bench I've seen in my time. He is like a human cheat code.

I keep expecting Memphis to be worse then they are. They almost never add "great" talent and have been the same collection of players for awhile. I think i'v been listening to to many NBA podcasts because its very common for analysts to take the lazy way and write off teams who don't add a big piece because you have to talk about internal growth which is a very hard topic to talk about when the team isn't young.

I'm starting to think Stan Van Gundy irritates his players to death

I've been on the Grizz being really good for several years now. Nothing has changed, as long as they're healthy they're a contender.
Remember last time they were 80% healthy they had a 2-1 lead on the eventual champion warriors. With Tony Allen making Curry his bitch.
I'm surprised when Conley went down they didn't drop off a little.
Only lost the series because Tony Allen's hammy knocked him out of games, and Conley was playing with one eye.

The two M's in the NBA.

Memphis and Minnesota. Their records should be flopped.
