MMA Junkie is reporting that the UFC will go ahead with their plan of making non-title main events five rounds, excluding bouts that have already been signed and agreed to such as Carwin/dos Santos and Evans/Davis. Non-title main events for PPV's are uncommon so this isn't such a major shift. No word yet on whether Live/Fight Night/Finale type televised shows will also feature elongated main events.

In other news, the UFC is looking to add a flyweight (125lbs.) division ASAP. The popularity of the bantamweight and featherweight divisions has grown exponentially since the UFC/WEC merger but I wonder how much talent is available at just 57kgs.
