Hard-edged midfielder Mathieu Flamini returns to the team for Sunday's derby. Nobody needs to be reminded that the last two games at Emirates both finished 5-2 in favour of the Gunners. Arsenal have never had less than 60,000 fans turn up for the derby at the grove and Sunday should be no different. The atmosphere should be positive given our last three results. The side story to this event is the rumour that they are delaying Bale's transfer in order to keep us from signing players from Real until after this weekend's game. As such we should put a whooping on them (again) and show them resistance is futile.
Sanga sick and on the bench tonight. Jenkinson and Gibbs struggling to deal with the wings. Giroud scores on a beautiful setup from Walcott via Cazorla and Ramsey. Wilshere off just before the half. Hoping it isn't serious. Flamini makes his debut sooner than expected. Arenal leading at the half.
Best three players on the pitch for me were Cazorla, Lloris, and Koscielny. Giroud was great at holding up the ball and making himself a target and his goal was a real bit of class but the work rate of the other three was impressive.
Wonder what's happened to Capoue's ankle? Got tangled with Cazorla and the Spaniard landed on it. Capoue was stretchered-off in some pain. Don't want to see anyone get injured, even one of those ****s.
Wilshere and Sagna both had 'stomach issues' that kept them from playing 90 minutes today. Supposedly there was lasagna offered to the media in the pre-game at Emirates. So, tainted lasanga is now trending.
Took Flamini about ten minutes to pick up his first yellow card. Should be good to have him around to get stuck in and dive bomb the opposition (within reason).
