<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">In one stall, Sam Cassell emphatically pronounced himself healthy and ready to recoup the starter's load of minutes he had missed while sitting 10 consecutive games.

Two spots down, Latrell Sprewell ? sated by a big game in the Wolves' victory over Atlanta ? muffled his ire over being crowded out of the rotation 48 hours earlier against Detroit.

A rotation Cassell wasn't even in.

Listen, I want guys that want to play," Saunders said Thursday, "but you hope what they do is understand situations. ?

"You're going to have (dust-ups). You can't tell me that Freddie (Hoiberg) wasn't upset three weeks ago when his minutes were cut. He should be; he's playing well. But if you asked people how many minutes should this guy play, and this guy and this guy ? there'd be about 480 minutes in a 240-minute game."

The Wolves constantly trot out the word "unselfish" when describing themselves, but like any other NBA team, they have a locker room full of egos ? and probably more egos that actually deserve to play than most other clubs. So there have been flare-ups over playing time, from Troy Hudson earlier this season to Sprewell's unhappiness earlier this week.

Added Sprewell: "It's a tough thing, but guys have to understand. Sometimes you may be frustrated, but you've got to put that behind you and put the team first. That's just the bottom line. That's hard to do at times, but that's what you have to do as a player."</div>

There is such a thing as being to healthy and having too much depth in this case. Flip will have to make difficult decisions on who have more playing time and who will have less. There just too many players who deserve to play but there isn't enough minutes in a game to keep everybody happy. There still time to make a move to trade some players away but it seems unlikely after what I have read.

I'm wondering about what Spree said about putting the team first, if he was also talking about himself when he was refering to the "guys".

Latrell talking about how guys need to stop being selfish is pretty hilarious. He would make a stink if he was sitting in the bench. This is why I hate Latrell. He is such a hypocrite by calling others to accept their role yet when it's his time to be coming off the bench, he gets upset.

Flip has had a hard time this year defining roles for the players as you have saw Fred Hoiberg have his minutes be drastically down. Fortunately, Fred is starting to play a lot more along with Trenton and what you are seeing is wins. This deep roster is not for this Timberwolves team. Fortunately for Flip. Wally decided to embrace his role as the sixth man and he has done a very good job as a sixth man.
