November 22, 1963 was a very dark day for Lions fans.

This day will live in infamy because JFK was assassinated in Dallas. But for Lions fans it was a doubley terrible day because it was the day William Clay Ford purchased the Lions. He took a team that won 3 World Championships in the previous 10 seasons and has given us 40 years of futility!
