1 week with john lucas and Mwilliams is a different player!

Frank doesnt know how to motivate players!!!!!

He is the like-able nerd of the nba.

It's been my single biggest complaint of Frank. The man knows his way around a whiteboard but cannot motivate a group of men, or inspire intensity.

He's nothing more than a great assistant coach IMO. Brian Hill looks more of a coach than Frank on the bench at times because he even gets more respect.

I think you are overemphasizing the contribution of John Lucas. Marcus has only played 10 games so far, and only 3 of those games have been for more than 10 minutes (13 min, 11 min, and 10 min), which was 3 weeks ago. He got the opportunity tonight, and things went well.

I don't think it's overemphasizing at all, Frank is not a great motivator, I mean M.Williams confidence was shot and you're telling me that there is no way that you as a head coach can't motivate or build up a young players confidence? Frank is horrible with young players , Mark Jackson said it during the 2nd quarter that he didn't agree with Marcus getting yanked every time he made a mistake, Frank does not let young players play through their mistakes, the fact that he had to call in John Lucas to come help MWill says a lot

I'm not saying anything about Frank's motivation skills. I think Marcus was given almost twice as much time as his previous season high, and played hard.

The reason Frank is there because he is not a coach that will challenge management or his players. While Byron Scott might bump heads with his players u will never see that from Frank.

Frank will never call out his team or players in the media. He will never go to management and say I need these players or these players have to go.

Me. I love coaches who don't take shit or are not afraid to speak their mind. Sloan, Pop, Mitchell and others.

Now I have to agree this is a damn shame. Lucas and Kiki have done more with the young players than Frank has ever done.

Frank will not be fire though. He is not an expensive coach and won't rock the boat. So just get used to him

frank is not going to get fired, we all know that as much as we want him to. Thorn is not a good GM. second, dont you guys see? only reason laura is a coach is because he's Kidd's puppet. He does whatever Kidd tells him to. kidd is basically the coach of this team. he wants Marcus to stay in, marcus stays in. kidd has never dealt well with tough nosed, demanding coaches.

... look at the kids who have put up numbers under Frank too. It's hard to connect with a group like this, where a rookie is expected to come in year after year and play a larger part on a playoff team.

In now way am i saying for lucas to be coach of this team. He couldnt make it for some reason in the nba before. I am just pointing out the obvious that Frank doesnt motivate these players to strive for perfection. They listen to him chatter and then do the same things over and over. We need a well rounded coach and some better assistants. Look at what nate mcmillan is doing in portlant with a less talented roster. Reggie Theus in sactown is also doing a damn good job.

From what i am reading it seems as if Thorn is giving up.

frank is a pussy who'd rather blame himself then his players. he's to afraid of what wrong might happen in he calls a player out. motivation is a problem because no one motivates anyone on this team.

Yeah man, I agree in a way because Frank seems too interested in his job security, and not taking the chances that you have to in order to lead a bunch of grown men. All the internal terms he uses "stay the course" and all that shit, has to come from somewhere. A core strength which I question he has.
