This pisses me off, Barret is clearly a better player he shoots better he distributes the ball better and he pushes the rock........Van Gundy had the nerve to say that with Lue on the floor that they have a better chance of winning....LMAO!!!
Here's a thought... Perhaps the Rockets are trying to work out a deal with someone for a more "starter caliber" point guard, and that's why Van Gundy is playing Lue. Lue has more trade value than Barrett, so he wants to make Lue look as good as possible until they can deal him. If we bench Lue, then that's basically telling everyone else in the league that we have absolutely no PG talent to throw into a trade. It'd be pretty hard to trade a guy as average as Lue when the other team is asking "so why should we want him when this Barrett guy is getting playing time over him...?" Get what I'm sayin'?
Exactly, thats probably what they were doing with Taylor at the beginning of the season, but all that backfired in the end. Heck, I'm all up for this plan, but Van Gundy needs to make sure Lue doesn't play horrible every night, or else his trade value will go down instead. I just hope they either get a PF or PG through this deal to help the team get some more wins.
^^^ I hope you guys are right, but does anyone else find the rockets games a tad bit more exciting when Barrett is on the court? i'm guessing its because he pushes the ball forward instead of slowing it down...
Please I don't care if Lue played 48 min. not a lot of NBA teams are interested in him, the rockets look like they need to work with what they got and what they got is Barrett and they're not even using him
I doubt it is trade bait. When ward is back, he has a good chance to even start. Van gundy isnt lookin for a trade. he is like weatherspoon, he will be in the very back no matter what.

Well yeah I guess I was right except for thinking they were shopping for a PG. I still feel pretty proud of myself though lol.
