...does this mean this is finally the Kings best shot at making the NBA finals? The Los Angeles Lakers will definitely not be a threat. Lamar Odom will be too busy with drug charges (disappointing considering how far ahead he came while playing on South Beach). Brian Grant is dead weight. Not to mention all three will struggle if Kobe Bryant does indeed resign with the Lakers. Minnesota? Well, they have KG, Sam I Am and Spree. But will they come back with the same attitude as last season? San Antonio? By far, the Kings toughest opponents. The 2-time MVP will have more help with Brent Barry coming to the Lone Star state. But again, it all hinges on the Spurs streaky shooting. Bruce Bowen will probably be back. Same team as before, same result as last season? Houston? Again, another tough call. Depends on whether Yao and McGrady co-exist, not to mention if McGrady can show up on both sides of the ball, not just offensively. Also, they still don't know who will run the point. Dallas? Dallas...'nuff said. Underachieve every season by only playing offense. Wait, who does that remind me of? There are several other teams I haven't mentioned simply because I don't believe they are a threat to the Kings. I think the only threat facing the Kings is themselves. They lack a killer instinct needed to get over the hill. Hopefully, some retooling will allow the Sacramento Kings to make the jump from title contender to NBA World Champions. KINGS BETTER TAKE IT NEXT YEAR THAT'S MY WORD! I've had just about enough waitin for'em to take it... and I'm a Raptors fan... but watchin'em play as a team, it just amazes me, they've been in the run for that championship for last 2 years, this is it for them, if Kings don't deserve it, I don't who else does. The only real threat they got is Spurs and Wolves now at this point. *crosses finger Garnett or Duncan to get injured next year*
Hopefully Shaq going to Miami will help the Kings Out a Whole Lot But on the other hand,if the Kings wanna go all the way, here's a diddy about that: DEFENSE...DEFENSE..DEFENSE
they might have a better chance of making it to the WCF, but without some defense I think they will have a hard time getting past there.
We won't be going anywhere until we can pickup some more players to fill out the roster. As of now we only have 8 including Martin and Minard.
nine actually with the addition of Edwards bibby christie jackson minard martin stojakovic webber miller edwards
id really like to see what this lineup can do if they can manage to stay healthy for an entire season
With the Kings luck, I wouldn't be surprised to see another 2nd round exit. San Antonio definitley is the odds on favorite after picking up Brent Barry and re-signing Manu and Bowen.
