the Kings game honored the memory of Pearl Harbor at the game tonight. In attendance at tonights game were members of the armed services who were stationed at Pearl Harbor.

Wow. I'm sort of surprised they did that. I was born and still live on Oahu. Just wondering if they gave an explanation as to why the honoring was being done at the game? I mean I know there doesn't have to be specific ties for them to want to honor the people who were at Pearl Harbor, but did the members honored have ties to the Kings or Sacramento?

I thought that it was great to see the Sacramento Kings as an orgainzation to honor those brave souls who fought for our freedom.

? I don't think you even read my question. I said that I knew that there didn't have to be more reason than that, but I was just curious to know if they announced that anyone in the Kings organization or many residents of sacramento were connected to the December 7th tragedy, as we are here. Just out of curiousity. And I agree that it was a gracious thing to do. [IMG]

I understood what you ment, I was just saying that there doesnt really need to be more reason than the fact that it was the right thing to do.

and just in case you are still interested, there are actually a few Pearl Harbor Vets that live in the Sacramento area. While I dont actually know how many, if any of them, were the Vets that were present (there were 5 of them present If I remember correctly).
