Well it was great to see how well DJ played today. He was really aggressive in taking the ball to the hoop, and it paid off, with 11/12 FT made. JR had a big game with 17 points and 10 rebounds, and the birdman had a decent game. I was thinking of this as I was posting in the other thread about who should start whilst Melo is gone. Kleiza will be starting on the bench tomorrow as Carmelo comes back, and it got me thinking just how decent our bench is/can be. Kleiza and JR are both capable of producing 18ppg, DJ brings a lot of hustle and possibly a 10/5 a night player, and we all know the birdman is easing back into the game quite well. We also have Balkman, Howard and Atkins that can all produce for us from the bench. I think we can be expecting something near 50ppg from our bench players this season, which would be extremely handy. DJ also showed today that he is quite a solid defender. Just how good do you think our bench can be this season??
