Nuggets finally find their offense, but it's too late

In Game 4 of its first-round playoff series against Utah on Sunday night, Denver reversed an obvious trend during a 117-106 loss to the Jazz.

But the reversal came too late.

The Nuggets' scoring from Game 1 to Game 3 dropped from 126 points to 111 to 93.

Their shooting percent dropped from .571 to .467 to .431.

Individually, All-Star Carmelo Anthony scored 42 points in the opener and 32 points in the second game. He dropped to 25 points in Game 3.

In Game 4, Denver upped its point total to 106, but only because Anthony exploded during a 38-point fourth quarter.

It wasn't enough to rally the Nuggets from an 86-68 deficit, which was caused by 38.7 percent shooting.
