<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Things appeared to remain quiet for the Nuggets during the weekend, though team officials may have their eyes on a new shooting guard. Seattle's Damien Wilkins, son of former NBA guard Gerald Wilkins and nephew of former all-star Dominique Wilkins, is a restricted free agent after his surprising rookie year, which saw him average 6.3 points per game. Agent Mark Bartelstein named the Nuggets among the teams eyeing Wilkins. Others reportedly interested include Minnesota and Atlanta. "We're having conversations, but nothing's settled right now," Bartelstein said Sunday. </div> Denver Post. I wonder if we'll even have a team next season. Not entirely sure what Denver's interest would be, particularly if they are bringing Buckner back. They need shooters, and DerMarr is a far better shooter than Damien.
I agree with you on this SD. I don't know why Denver would spend money on him when they need to acquire a shooter. With Lenard, Buckner, and with Hodge at the 2, it wouldn't make much sense to sign Wilkins. I would sign Johnson, since he's a better shooter, over Wilkins. Bringing back Jon Barry even makes more sense.
I thought Wilkins signed with Minnesota? EDIT: Nevermind, I just read in the other thread it wasn't true.
