Too many times this season the Nuggets have slept through part of the first half, but managed to come back in the second and win the game. Tonight, they almost pulled it off again, but alas Melo missed an open shot at the end of the 4th and then fouled out in OT.

In the second quarter, they allowed the Jazz to outscore them 33 to 15. Just completely unacceptable. Chucky Atkins groin and Nene's cancer has left this team with too limited of a bench and the starters flaws become magnified. Kyle Korver just torched the Nuggets tonight because AI couldn't guard.

This team needs to take a gamble on Artest

Your right, that second quarter was absolutely horrible. If Nene and Atkins were back i think things might have been different. I don't know about taking a gamble on Artest because we need bench players, and we might have to give up a couple at least to get him. This team is one or two changes away from being a championship caliber team. But with the west being as stacked as it is i dont know how this depleted team can make a serious run right now.

I'm curious to see how the team regroups for Friday's game against the Wizards. This was two consecutive OT games with playoff level intensity.
