Key Matchup
    [IMG] [IMG]
With Andre beating up on the Eastern recently this makes it a pivotal matchup. Over the past three games he has averaged 30.3 ppg, 6 apg, and 7.67 rpg. Stephon Marbury has led them to the third best record in the East. Stephon is the best player on the Knicks team and he will need to be at the top of his game to lead his team to victory over the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets’ floor general is planning on keeping Denver alive in game three of seven in their Eastern road trip, and if he keeps up his magnificent play he will.

    Keys to the game
-The Nuggets need to punish the Knicks from the beginning and don’t let them into it. After their heartbreaking loss to Washington( largely due to the officials) we can’t let them think they can compete
-Feed Andre the ball. Like I said before Andre has been playing some incredible basketball over the past three games and it will be important for him to out shine Starbury over the course of the game.
-Pass the ball Melo. Carmelo Anthony played his most unselfish game of his career on Friday night putting up a career high 9 assists. It seems whenever Carmelo is actively involved in assisting his teammates, they repay him with a win.

-Get a good game out of Houston. He made his return against Washington and his return was spoiled by bad officiating. Hopefully the Knicks get a good game out of H20
-Let me see your one two step. The one two punch of JCrawford and H20 is an amazing duo and a good game out of those two, the Knicks can manage a win.

    Prediction
I think this should be another Eastern confrence win for the Nuggets. It will an important win for Denver on their 7 game road trip, I think they have proven to themselves that they’re back, and better than ever. Nuggets win against the Knickerbockers.

Hey boogie you changed your username too? Btw, nice preview, and yeah Melo will have to help move the ball it seems like when he goes one-on-one the other four players just stand and watch him, instead of finding open space... the Nuggets are on the roll though and I don't think this should be an issue and I really think the team is starting to gel together, they seem to have put away the worry of expectation that crippled them early in the season... they have to take easy shots that will lead to high field goal percentage... and this should be an easy W. My prediction: 112-89 Nuggets in blowout!!

This is going to be the Nuggets by 12. Melo will get 25 points and 12 rebounds.

Really? You guys aren't worried about the Garden Atmosphere when Houston makes his debut, and the Martin/Thomas affair? Oh well I guess we will have to see waht happens tomorrow. I hope it isn't as lopsided as you claim it wll be! [IMG]

Well i dont see it being too much lopsided, because like Pure Skillz said in ur preview, the Knicks have the advantage in the backcourt with houston making his return. But the Nugggets have been playing great ball as of late, and i dont think the knicks will stop them

Actually the three best records in the East belong to Orlando, Miami, and Washington. I know I know I'm just as suprised as you are [IMG] [IMG]

Anyways I think this will be a good game and more closer than most people predict. Both teams love to run the floor so expect an exciting game. The Nuggets are favored here but the Knicks can pull the upset. Judging by the way the Nuggets have been playing though I'm going to have to go with them and say they win by 6. If NY wants to win though they should have Crawford and Starbury shooting 3pters.

I think he means if the playoffs were to start today they will be the 3rd seed in the east. Anyways, I think the Knicks playing at home and plus the atmosphere when Houston makes his debut at home will get the Knicks fired up for a win to upset the Nuggets. I also feel that Marbury and TT will have big games.

Yeah I figured he was just confused about the records and meant to say they are leading the Atlantic division.

I would like to see the Knicks win this one. I have a feeling Marbury can dish out 11 dimes. Allen Houston is gonna give em added fire power and make the Knicks much better.

Yeah it's cool, that's just the way the playoff seeds work, a divison leader is guaranteed a top 3 seed, depending on which leader has the best record.

Yeah i didnt see the game but Nuggets lost, o well we need to come back stronger against Philly. Heres how it all played out

Quote:

NEW YORK, Dec. 12 (Ticker) -- The New York Knicks' retro uniforms suited Jamal Crawford and Stephon Marbury well.

With the Knicks sporting uniforms from the 1979-80 season, Crawford and Marbury combined for 56 points as New York snapped the Denver Nuggets' four-game winning streak with a 107-96 victory.

Crawford, who scored 17 of his 31 points in the third quarter, drained a 3-pointer 6:24 into the second half to give the Knicks their largest lead,70-56. That basket capped a 17-8 run in which Crawford scored 13 points.

Marbury scored 14 of his 25 points in the first half as the Knicks overcame an early eight-point deficit to lead 49-44 at the break. He hit two free throws with 33 seconds left in the second quarter to give New York its largest lead of the first half, 49-42.

Marbury also recorded 11 assists -- giving him 5,008 for his career -- as the Knicks improved to 7-2 when he reaches double figures in assists.

Kurt Thomas grabbed a season-high 17 rebounds for the Knicks, who won for just the second time in their last six games and evened their record at 10-10. Thomas held Carmelo Anthony to just 7-of-23 shooting.

Anthony scored 26 points on the strength of 12-of-16 foul shooting and former Knick Marcus Camby scored 21 for the Nuggets, who lost for only the second time in 10 games against teams from the Eastern Conference.

Nene scored two points before leaving with a right hip contusion in the first half for Denver.

Like Bzdelik said the players were just not running and not moving on offense... the ball needs to move... oh well we'll redeem ourselves in the next game vs. 76ers
