We could have thrown in the towel (we trailed by as many as 15 in the third) but we kept fighting back. All of our players did their part and gave their best efforts, even DerMarr Johnson, who hadn't played in consecutive games, played great defense on Iverson. Then during the most important possession, we turned to Melo, who of course delivered yet again for us with a reverse layup on Iguodala, then a couple of free throws more to ice the game. :boogie: Lonngggg.. trip 9/3 - Sixers W 10/3 - Raptors 12/3 - Celtics 13/3 - Knicks 15/3 - Pacers 17/3 - Grizzlies 18/3 - Hornets Trip Record Prediction:5-2So far: 1-0 vs. RaptorsThe Raps are struggling. They have lost 8 of the past 9 games after winning three straight. The last two losses came at the hands of the Cavs on back-to-back nights, including a last-second heartbreaking loss on a Damon Jones three pointer. They're not struggling offensively because they can score with talents such as Chris Bosh, Mike James, Morris Peterson, Charlie Villanueva... but rather on the other end. Can the Raps contain the fastbreaking Nuggets?Speaking of scoring, a good news for the Raptors is they're about to tie an NBA record for most consecutive games in making at least one three point field goal. The current record holder is the Miami Heat with 594 games, Raps can tie it with a three pointer made in this game, and break it in the next game vs. the Pacers on March 12. + Nene gone for the season... K-Mart, Najera not expected to play with knee injuries. Closing comments and predictionsI'm taking the Nuggets to win this, 105-95.
my vote is for the nuggets in this game. even though they are coming off a game last night i think the win will be good motivation.in a few years this game would have been a lot closer.
Yea he's very efficient... I see Melo taking smart shots... he no longer forces the issue... of course that has been the story this season :rock:I'm liking Evans' energy and rebounding. See how well we finally shoot from outside? Because our shooters know if it misses there'll be a beast down there to back them up... they feel much less pressure. Prior to the trade, due to constant injuries to Camby and K-Mart, we were having up-and-down rebounding games... dropping to the teens overall in rebounding per game from top 4 overall early in the season. That's why we struggled with the shooting because if we missed it'd be an automatic possession for our opponents. But now Evans is here our shooting game is back :yahoo:
