We played our most complete game of the season by handing the Pistons a 98-87 loss (as I predicted ). K-Mart led the way with 28 points and 12 rebounds, including two three pointers as the shot clocks expired that helped us pull away in the second half. Camby had his best game since returning from that one-month injury, posting 12 points, 20 rebounds, and 5 blocked shots. Melo had his usual 25 points, Patterson provided spark for us defensively and setting the tone early by sending Hamilton to the floor, resulting in a little altercation. But it sent the message that we're not going to back down physically or mentally to them, the best team in the L. With him, Evans, Kenyon, and soon-to-return Eduardo Najera and Greg Buckner, we got five dogs that we can count on to give us some much-needed toughness. I love them :yahoo: Eisley signed We got Eisley today through a 10-day contract. Hopefully he will help provide us with the three point shooting and that vacant job as the third string point guard now that Watson is gone. vs. Rockets As I type this, we're holding a 6-pt lead in the second quarter, 28-22. So yeah this is a late game preview After starting slow, Melo is finally hitting shots, and now has 12 points... this kid is amazing, I don't remember many one half that he scores in a single figure. Patterson has helped contain McGrady to only 2 shot attempts so far, all from beyond the arc. The leading scorer is Swift with 8 points off the bench. We need to keep on pressing, keep up the intensity on both ends. Hopefully, the other guys who tend to be "passive" (or as George Karl described it, "too cool", "too soft", "too casual") can pick it up. Talk about the game here, since it's already underway, I can't write much. + O Nene, where are thou? Closing comments and predictionsI'm thinking we gonna get this, 108-100, Melo with 40+ pts. :winkglasses:
