Even so, Warkentein is expected to be patient in regard to the possibility of trading forward Kenyon Martin. One NBA executive said the Nuggets have been putting out feelers for Martin and were turned down by the Portland Trail Blazers when inquiring about swapping Martin for Blazers forward Zach Randolph. But another NBA source said the Nuggets have turned down possible trades for Martin from a Western Conference and Eastern Conference team. Martin has five years and $70 million remaining on his contract. He has been hampered by knee problems and was suspended for the final three games of the playoffs for conduct detrimental to the team. But he is also a 2004 all-star who has made two NBA Finals appearances and was considered one of the league's top power forwards when Denver acquired him in July 2004. One general manager said he is more concerned about Martin's contract and knee than the suspension. </div> <div align="center">Source</div>
He needs to be on an up and down offensive savvy team to be successful. He's fairly pitiful in a half court game, and the fact that he has such a large contract is not going to help the Nuggets get ride of him. As for Randolph, he would definitely not fit into the Nuggets line up with the type of ball they play. He's a great player when he wants, but the Nuggets run the Carmelo offense.

they're so STUPID to try and trade him now. damn, they should have him play the first 20 games of next season, get him 30 mins a game, he'll have 15 and 9, THEN trade him. I thought this guy was supposed to be a good GM????
They need to get rid of K-Mart. His contract is huge, and he has huge problems staying healthy. Kenyon has always been bit of a headcase as well, look at what happened in this years playoff series. If the Nuggets want to get over the hump they need to get some younger talent. Camby is still producing, but he isn't dependable. The Nuggets need to find a reliable second option, to releive pressure off of Melo.
