<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">For the first time in six games, there was a Michael Sweetney sighting Wednesday. After being benched by coach Scott Skiles for foul trouble and inconsistent efforts, Sweetney showed improvement in the Bulls' 100-95 loss to the New Orleans Hornets.

After sitting out the first half, the 6-8, 270-pound forward scored five points and had three rebounds in his 11 minutes, 13 seconds of action.

''We talked to the guys several times [Wednesday] about going inside, and we had a problem doing it,'' Skiles said. ''When I brought Mike in the game, we took a timeout right after and sort of demanded that we go down low. For not playing for a while, I thought Mike did a nice job.''

Sweetney may have earned more playing time Saturday when the Bulls face the Phoenix Suns at America West Arena. The Bulls did not practice Thursday, but Skiles held a team meeting at their hotel in Phoenix.

''It was cool to get out there for a little bit [Wednesday] and try to get the timing back,'' said Sweetney, who started 30 of the 39 games he has played. ''If I can start making my shots and finishing, then I can force double-teams and open up things a little bit. I'm just going to try to do what I do and not force anything.

''I have to be ready. With Skiles, you never know when you're going to play, so I have to be ready mentally. And when you're ready mentally, other things will take care of [themselves].''</div>
