Guys yet again, I let you down. Last meeting when Kobe 8 Ball did the preview, I thought he would do it again, therefore I didn't bother to write one because I thought I wouldn't need to. I'm REALLY sorry guys for not having the previews done for today's game. Please don't expect for this to occur frequently. Again, I'm sorry. Prediction: Knicks: 100 Lakers: 96
Wow. I'm the first one here...and the game is already over. Dont worry about it mrj18. It's not that big of a deal. The Knicks have lost another one to the Lakers of all teams. They were on pace to setting a franchise record for longest losing streak and we bailed them out. It is embarassing to be a Knicks fan right now. So where shall we begin... Marbury did a bang up job offensively again but his defense as usual left something to be desired. Crawford played well offensively too. He couldnt stop Kobe but then again who can? Sweetney was terrible tonight. He really has to stay out of foul trouble. He never got back into the game when he was sent to the bench. TT was alright on the offensive end as well as was Kurt Thomas. Even Ariza threw in ten points. We hit all of our freethrows and didnt really get killed off the glass. So why did we lose? Because our defense sucked...and it sucked hard! MY GOD!!! I mean come on!! I was begging my TV for some stops. It was ridiculous. We couldnt stop anybody! EVERYONE played poor defense except Ariza since he always brings it and Sweetney since he was hardly on the floor to play defense. Brown came off the bench and provided a spark for the Lakers. Butler got off to a hot start because of TT's matador defense. And you know when Devean George is waltzing into the paint and dunking the ball your defense isn't anywhere near where it's supposed to be. They got too many open looks and tonight they were hitting their treys. I dont know what else to say. Our defense was pretty much non-existent which is why we lost to a Lakers team that had lost eight previous games straight.
I watched the game early this morning off of the DVR on my TV. Let me just say that it was an awful, awful display. Marbury's offensive game was fantastic, but his defense really let me down (surprise, surprise). Sweetney should've had more minutes. Ariza was energetic on offense, looked good. TT was pretty off on defense, didn't offer much help and he got lost a bit too, especially early on. The offense wasn't too good, but the lack of defense was grotesque. 4 straight losses. The playoff-possibilty excitement didn't last long at (never existed in my case). *sigh*
^You guys hit the nail right on the head. Marbury's weak (if it even existed) defense, and the rest of them lost us the game. We did everything, but play defense that's why we need to get some defensive players (who can play offense also) with those expiring contracts. Also a shot blocker would do wonders for this team I mean George who was out for almost the whole season starts throwing it down on us??? Pathetic. I honestly think I play better defense than almost everyone on the Knicks.
suprise!! <div class="quote_poster">Quoting my main man, Knicks Analyst:</div><div class="quote_post">Let me just say that it was an awful, awful display. (for those of you that didnt get it I was being sarcastic, VERY SARCASTIC!!)
