Mayo had been cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana in Huntington, W.Va., and declined to comment on the latest incident involving the Trojans' signee. "I'm not going to have any response on it until I know more about it," Floyd said after USC lost to Oregon, 81-57, Saturday in the championship game of the Pacific Life Pac-10 tournament at Staples Center. "I'm going to talk to O.J. before I talk to you guys." Mayo, a 19-year-old senior at Huntington High, was one of four men cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession late Friday night after the car they were riding in was pulled over. Police found what they described as a small amount of marijuana on the driver and an additional amount in the backseat in a spare pair of shoes. Mayo was neither arrested nor taken into custody, and Cabell County Sheriff's Deputy Doug Adams told the Huntington Herald-Dispatch that none of the men claimed ownership of the marijuana.</div> This kid is a f*cking idiot, my god. Everything he does, trouble is involved. Now, that whole referee incident - he did nothing, I give him a pass on that. The ref slipped. But the kid is an idiot. He got expelled from a school for hitting a girl, he's been in fights, he has an attitude, and now he's hittin reefer on the side? F*ck, kid, don't throw it all away.
Pot isn't a big deal, but he's 19, he's a man, he needs to grow up. This guy has millions on the line, a huge reputation and he does sh*t like this? This is why I don't like OJ Mayo...typical punk.
Honestly, I dont think its that big of a deal to smoke weed, but it cant look good for him. He has been in trouble numerous times, and hes not even in college yet. He will still go high in the draft, and he will have a good career IMO, but hes got to turn his attitude around. It sucks...

I mean the dude needs to grow up and stop doing all these stupid things that can hurtn his career. It's like he doesn't use his head at all.
This kid is the next JR Rider, he seems like a punk, smokes herb, and has a shitload of talent. He'll probably F*ck up a golden career in the NBA somehow.
I don't think this is that big a deal. But the kid better get his act together before something worse happens.

His chances are numbered LakersFan

I was only saying that I didn't think him being caught with weed was a big deal but I am aware of his other problems and how it can be held against him. I was also only saying that I hope nothing more happens.
"He's just a guy that cannot handle all the attention and the hype surrounding him. When he makes mistakes everything is magnified because he's "OJ MAYO"."That was from King Jamez about a week ago.....No, it isn't all attention crap, I hate that excuse, getting high is not a way to get rid of the attention, it makes it worse, oj is a dumbasshe also said he never took a step down this year. This kid is a crackhead, and he only is so good because he is older and more mature.....bodywise than everyone in his grade level, hell he will be 20 when he starts playing for USCI hate him, honestly, he is far overrated
This guy could be great if he puts his issues aside and focuses on playing ball...He could be a great player in the league with his skill and potential but hes starting to look like a JR Rider type of guy like someone else said who F*cked up his career because of stupid sh*t. If he continues having these incidents no team in the league will want him

The suspension was ridiculous.
Oh well, still doesn't reflect well with his shaky history. If it was just weed that wouldn't really be that big of a deal, I mean let's face it, half the NBA smokes marijuana anyway. It's just he had this on top of a few other incidents before he's even got to college. I still don't know about his decision to attend USC. I think he would have been better off at a Wisconsin or an Indiana. Somewhere where there isn't a lot of distractions. Negative influences in So Cal are going to eat this kid up with a spoon.
