"I liked the people he was hanging around with, I liked his family, I liked the people he grew up with. "We spent 5 to 6 hours together on the course. That's what I went out there for, not to hammer him about basketball issues. I don't really feel I need to talk basketball issues. I talked to Kenny when I got the job; he wanted to know how I planned on using him, and I said, 'Well.' "He's a helluva rebounder, he can put the ball on the floor, he can put the ball in the basket. I told him, 'I have to study the films more in depth, but I think you'll like the way you're utilized.' I like his mobility, his defensive toughness, his rebounding and his ability to score." O'Brien has said his offense essentially will involve "one big guy, three perimeter players and Allen Iverson."</div> Full Article Courtesy of Phil Jasner/Philly.com I'm really excited about this. Kenny is a guy that we kind of secretly got, he wasn't known as such a good player before, and last season he wasn't used good by Ayers/Ford. I hope Jim expands his role as a more rounded player, that contributes to all fileds of the game.
I like Kenny, he's turned out to be a nice PF in the East, and when next season comes, around, he will finally be able to really, really show what he can do, nice find.
Its good to see that Jim is trying to get to know these players, communication is what keeps a team together,I bet Coach Ford never tried to do this with any of the Sixers when he was coaching and thats a reason why him and AI didnt get a long, but I think the bad days are behind us now and that we have a bright future, and Coach Jim is going in the right direction with the team.
Kenny is a very sweet player. He has size, rebounding, outside shooting, lil handle, and he can be pretty fierce at times. I think he is much better at SF than PF though.
Na Kennys a PF an undersized one but hes a PF. Kenny reminds me of Barkley. Not as good as Barkley of course but his game is similar.
