Can Greg Oden become another Shaq? Personally he got all the qualities to become like shaq. it a shame that knee injury ruined his rookie season

Im not sure if he missed Free throws, but that guy is a beast, and looks like he can bully players like Shaq. You can stay he got the same figure as David Rob.. never thought about him, i was thinking of more muscle Patrick Ewing.

Greg Oden is a 20 year old rookie. Impressive.
Oden really reminds me of a more athletic David Robinson. Although I think Robinson had more moves in the post. That's the best comparison I can come up with.
Oden's college numbers: 15.7 PPG, 9.6 RPG, 3.3 BPG. Shaq as a freshman: 13.9 PPG, 12.0 RPG, 3.6 BPG Reasonably similar. Shaq as a soph, tho: 27.6 PPG, 14.7 RPG, 5.0 BPG Downright amazing. The Ewing comparison may be a good one. Ewing wasn't the team's primary offensive player early in his career, but developed a nice game later on.
Crane that is some nice Stats there, shows that Oden can be evening better then Shaq. can i ask you something guys.... Because of Oden injury, is he still classified as a rookie?
I would say his best comparison is clearly Robinson - they each had a similar build and skill set. I don't know if he'll be Shaq, but he's going to be a hell of a ball player, especially once he fully develops some post moves. In the end, I don't think he'll be the offensive force of Shaq, but I do think he's going to be one of the best defensive bigs of our generation.
Hes doesnt have Shaq's girth, which can be good or bad....when Shaq was in shape, his girth was as important as his height and he just smashed through the paint, drawing contact and punishing all in his path, later in his career, it got away from him, and he couldnt move as well and his game suffered....I cant imagine Odem getting that far out of shape, but he will never be as physical as Shaq was either....

Oden's situation is a lot like Collisons. They basically each got two rookie seasons because they didn't play during their initial year due to injuries.
Well you're friends are crazy. He didn't even touch the court last year, so he might as well be considered one.
