In my opinion, Oden's recovery is the most important element of the off-season. It appears Cho isn't going to give us much info on Oden's status. It's unclear whether this is because he has something to hide, or if keeping expectations in check is just his strategy. What we do know is, that Oden has been working out a lot. He has lost weight and is reportedly working out 5 hours a day. He has tweeted about running 5 miles. Yet, he isn't cleared for much basketball activity. My question is: does anyone know anything about the recovery from this type of injury? Why would it be OK for him to run 5 miles, but not to play basketball? Would this imply that the supporting muscles/ligaments need more strength before twisting and jumping? I'm trying to put the few pieces of info that we do have together to figure out where he stands.
You're asking if anyone on here knows anything about the recovery? Everyone here knows all there is know about the recovery, don't you know?? We're all arm chair coaches, trainers, doctors and in some cases, men. (btw, I know not everyone thinks this way, but it makes it funny, dammit!)
Odens status? The last thread about this was less than a day ago. The stories in the oregonian have several updates. So it is the same as those, plus 2 days of change, which I imagine to not be a lot of difference.
