<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">March 03, 2007 Odom has torn labrum Very bad news for the Lakers regarding Lamar Odom's shoulder: He has a torn labrum, which is the injury that ended his season prematurely in 2005 -- and could now again. Odom had an MRI that revealed the damage, but he'll see Angels team doctor Lewis Yocum on Monday to get a thorough analysis of his option. Odom could try to heal without surgery, but the Lakers aren't sure what course of action will be taken until consulting with Yocum. Odom will at the very least not be playing on the road trip this week, but he'll surely miss more time than that. Wow. Are you freaking kidding me? I'm really starting to think we should just give up on this season. What's the use if everyone just keeps getting injured? Amazing
Okay, I remember last night when he hurt his shoulder, but didn't he just walk it off? The guy played pretty much the whole game, I don't see how it can be considered season ending. Anyways, if it's true, then I have nothing left to say. Injuries, injuries, injuries, injuries, and even more injuries. Wow
Well imo, the Lakers might be more inclined to trade LO if they start thinking he is too injury prone. We'll have to see how this plays out.
EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 3 (AP) -- Los Angeles Lakers forward Lamar Odom was diagnosed Saturday with a left shoulder injury. Odom, who was injured Friday night against Sacramento, underwent an MRI exam Saturday that revealed a torn labrum, team spokesman John Black said. He didn't travel to Phoenix for a game on Sunday and will see a doctor Monday. Odom got hurt when he was fouled by Sacramento's Brad Miller with 2:47 remaining of a 116-108 loss. Odom finished with 26 points, 13 rebounds and six assists. Black said the team would not speculate on whether Odom could be sidelined indefinitely. It was the second major injury of the season for Odom, who missed 1+ months because of a sprained right ankle before returning Jan. 27. Two years ago, Odom sustained the same left shoulder injury, underwent surgery and missed the final two months of the season. Luke Walton is set to see a specialist Monday about his sprained right ankle. He has missed 16 games. Kwame Brown returned Friday night after missing 27 games because of a severely sprained right ankle. I take the information on top from www.nba.com
So yeah, maybe our trainer should be fired? Maybe the medical staff isn't doing to right job? I fail to understand how one team can undergo so many injuries in just one season. It's ridiculous
Brian, you're a great poster, but stop with the ignorant comments. The training staff isn't the one out there taking the bumps and bruises of an NBA game. Stuff happens, there have been teams just as injury plagued as us. Gary Vitti is recognized as one of the best trainers in the league. Bad news, but we play well without him. If Luke and Kwame can mesh soon, than we should be good.
Holy crap! Now is a great time to contact Pippen. Torn labia for Odom may compute to a lottery pick. God knows the Lakers need one. Won't improve thru trades, that's for sure. Kobe is wasting his prime with this organization. Should have signed with the Bulls in 04. I wouldnt be surprised if he demands a trade this summer.
why do the lakers always dissapoint me, it makes it so hard for me to stick by them, it really is tough to just say oh well just another injury i guess, this is stuffing up our playoff hopes and its really worrying as a fan for so long to see your beloved team go down the shitter. FUK.

Kobe requesting a trade? LOL, hilarious. It'll be interesting to see the Pippen articles flood the papers, online sources, and "inside" sources.

For Lebron James? perhaps. Otherwise, he is untouchable in Lakerland.
I wonder if the Lakers have had the most games missed from all players combined than any other team in the league?
This can't be true. Maybe Lamar is going to be like Grant Hill now? Damn, imo he was just getting in some kind of a rhythm and even made one great game and some solid games also. I wonder, HOW MUCH CAN KOBE BRYANT TAKE ?
