Andres Torres' first game as a New York Met will be his last for a while. Torres -- who was acquired from the San Francisco Giants along with right-hander Ramon Ramirez in exchange for Angel Pagan during the winter meetings -- suffered his second left calf strain in 16 days, this time while pursuing Atlanta Braves rookie Tyler Pastornicky's shot to right-center in the seventh inning Thursday. Torres confirmed he will be placed on the disabled list. He will travel to the Mets' spring-training complex in Port St. Lucie, Fla., Friday to begin rehabbing the troublesome muscle.
