    In case you didn't know.

Will this mean the Texas Players will play much more harder. I'm concerned. If we were able to lose to Arizona, we can very well lose to the Longhorns.

This serves Texas right for basically forcing him out like they did Bowden at FSU. Big problem is Saban didn't save the hook um horns! That said I wouldn't be shocked if they didn't make a play for Mike Shanahan in a couple of weeks.

Why would an old goat like Shanahan want to be a college coach?

Money, the same reason he's going to make the Redskins fire him vs quitting. On top of that he's won Super bowls, has big name recognition, and could get a percentage of the Texas tv network thrown into his contract, like they were proposing with Saban.

I'm not sure why Gruden wouldn't jump at this massive pay day too considering the Big 12 is really the little four... OK, OK State, Texas and Baylor and that Texas is considered the hotbed of high school recruiting.

This is a very attractive job with tons of perks!

while you've had far worse ideas, here's a few reasons off the top of my head why this probably won't happen

    1. He's got millions in the bank
    2. College coaches work insane hours
    3. He's got a stress free job that pays well
    4. Texas sucks

In the 5 years since his last coaching gig, he's already been rumored for a number of high paying jobs but has stuck with being a well paid talking head. If he was itching to get back in, he probably would have already. Until the talking head gravy train dries up, I don't see even mo money as enough motivation for him to jump back into coaching.

I possibly could see Gruden due to his age, but even that's a stretch.
