Now I look at the roster and always see so much potential, but what is the biggest upgrades the team needs? I thinks these are the list of things needed: A PG hopefully Via draft A shooter at the 2 spot A huge improvement of the bench at: PG, SG, and C I think the bench is pretty solid at SF and PF with Bobby Simmons, Matt Barnes and Wilcox, I like Simmons and Barnes, they bring good energy and play well. Now I'm assuming we draft a PG who can start right away, so depending and wheter Q-Rich stays, Jaric can move to the starting 2 spot, or be a backup at the 1 and 2. If he's starting at the 2, then the backup PG spot will still be a little off with Eddie House who is really a SG, so a FA PG wouldn't be bad, Damon Jones would be the best but he's likely staying in Milwaukee. SG, if no Q-Rich then it needs to be upgraded, Simmons can backup at the 2 but it would be good to aqcuire someone else who can maybe shoot the rock, and also play pretty good defense. Lastly at backup center, someone like Adonal Foyle would be good, I don't like Drodjnak because he's too much of a perimeter player and is not a force in the post, or a defensive presence. Other gusy could be Dan Gadzuric, Chris Mihm?....

In addition, Jaric should be a 6th man...his (lack of) defense and inconsistency leave a lot to be desired for a starter <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">SG, if no Q-Rich then it needs to be upgraded, Simmons can backup at the 2 but it would be good to aqcuire someone else who can maybe shoot the rock, and also play pretty good defense.</div> <font size="5"><font color="Indigo">#8</font> </font> <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">Lastly at backup center, someone like Adonal Foyle would be good, I don't like Drodjnak because he's too much of a perimeter player and is not a force in the post, or a defensive presence. As far as the point guard situation, regardless if they draft a point, they should look through free agency for a veteran floor general. I was discussing with someone today (a clipper fan I know) about perphaps trading Wilcox for Earl Watson (not a rumor, I was threw this out). or PErhpas Kenny Anderson through free agency. I think he would jump at the chance to get another opportunity to start.
Yea I think Center is fine with Kaman, Wilcox backs up at both center and PF, but Ely is also a PF, and might be let go in the expansion draft. I think a tough center at backup wouldn't be a bad idea, so the subs at PF and C are Wilcox and someone else. I don't like Drobjnak as a backup at center, too perimeter oriented, and not tough inside. I don't know about Wilcox for Watson, the Grizzlies have a lot of PF's/C's, Gasol, Swift, Wright, Outlaw, Humphries, but it could happen. A veteran PG would be good also like you said, but if Q-Rich goes then we need someone to fill the starting 2 guard position, Ginobili (likely staying with Spurs), Stephen Jackson?, I'd liek Brent Barry, but we'll see, lottery drawing is tommorow
I think sadly, getting rid of Q-Rich along with other people would greatly help if you got another talented big man to aid Brand, namely K-Mart. He'd be the PF instead, you'd have major block parties. Kittles is a great shooter who could come along with the deal. Or instead, you could try and net yourselves Barry like you said, he plays defense well enough, also he has excellent vision, shooting and ability to run the court even if he won't be your PG if you decide to play him at SG. As for bench use, the Spurs may be willing to give away, Rose, Horry and Ginobili sometime, they're great sparkplugs for overall use.

They would be giving up WAY too much size and that'll though for a team in the west.
Yea I feel the same way, I wouldn't like a Brand - Kmart combo, I'd rather have Kaman developing, he can be pretty good, and just leave Brand and PF, no need to sign Kmart. Remember the Clippers are in the West.
