49ers went 3 and out on their 1st offensive possession and then fumbled the ball twice on their second one.
Another offensive possession another TURNOVER. JT Sullivan gets sacked and coughs it up. It's going to be a long season once again.
I saw a highlight of the Gore TD. What's up with all the empty seats? When Gore was celebrating, I saw one guy in the crowd.
Watching a lousy team in a windy, outdated stadium isn't appealing. There's too, many other things to do in the Bay Area for entertainment.
The game hasn't gone great but it could be a lot worse. O'Sullivan has done okay for it being his first start in the league. Considering the four turnovers, they're extremely lucky to be where they are. It's not looking great but it's certainly not over yet.
It's just frustrating to watch the same mistakes made year after year. The OLine can't protect the QB and the offense turns the ball over constantly. How come the 49ers can't figure out how to correct these problems? I think the franchise needs a complete overhaul again. Stop wasting any more resources on Alex Smith, get rid of Nolan, the GM and bring in a new system to form an identity for this team. I know it's only week one and I'm overreacting, but this has been going on for too, many seasons.
The Yorks have demolished the once-proud Niners franchise. I don't see it getting any better as long as they are there. BTW watching MNF right now makes me do a "what if" scenario in my mind where Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers switched scenarios. IMO Rodgers would probably be screwed and considered a bust just like Smith if he were in SF with the crappy coaching and chronically changing OC. Smith would probably be looking solid in GB with all that talent around him- though to Rodgers credit he can actually throw the ball straight and more than 30 yards, something Alex Smith is apparently incapable of doing. What do you think Niner fans?
I'm still pissed about the way they lost last week. The Cardinals didn't show me anything, and I felt this was a game we had to win. This was a game we could have won. The 49ers outplayed the Cardinals, but lost the turnover battle and it was the difference in the final score of this game. Maybe we can rebound this week against the Seahawks. Both of their CBs are banged up and they looked fairly pedestrian getting blown out last week.
Well, they are 1-1 now after a nice comeback against Seattle. We'll have to wait and see if they could be consistent and continue winning, or they could just struggle and have another horrible record.
