I highlighted a few veterns we should try, and target such as Elden Campbell who we should bring in as a mentor roll for players like Curry, and Chandler. Also he would provide playoff experence something we really lacked last season besides for Antonio Davis there was really no one on our roster who had been in the playoffs before, and made a solid contribution to there team when they were in it. Another guy I would like to think about aquiring would be Jerome James. One thing we lacked when Curry went down was a inside player who could get us rebounds, and a few points. We would not really need him much, but he and Curry would be a good combo, and if anything should happen to Cury we got a good backup so our team does not fall off in talent much at that position. In the end of things my ideal off season would be just to resign our stars Chandler and Curry. Possibly match a offer sheet that a team offers Duhon. If we do that, and aquire one or two veterns I will be happy. Anyway feel free to talk about the temas off season plans here. Also another young guy i highlighted is Kareem Rush he was with the Lakers during there final run when they had Malone, Payton, Shaq, and Kobe. He knows something about being clutch hitting all those threes in the Western conference finals. He would give us another shooter, and player who can play small forward and shooting guard. Pike is a good shooter, but he really does not provide as much offense as Rush would to our team.
If Finley gets cut by the Mavs (under this new CBA rule), i think we should go for him. Having him would give us a veteran big guard (like Paxson desparatly wants) who can score, has a lot of play off experience, and is a local guy. I read the Pistons would also be interested, so if he wants a ring it would be very hard to get him. But you can always talk to him, play the hometown card. If he accepts the midlevel exception or the veteran exception (he gets his full paycheck from the Mavs anyway), that would be a huge steal.
What we need is a young power forward. I dont know if the bulls are going to sign othella and Antonio Davis is getting older and his contract is going to end soon. Bulls have enough guards in hinrich gordon duhon pie.

However, we would need our MLE to sign a big man if Eddy Curry is traded or gets to big an offer from another team. Also Mike does still have a lot of game left in him so he would be in need of some minutes something we can not offer him like the Suns ( who just traded Q) or the Pistons (have no real bench play) would be able to. With Duhon, Gordon, Hinrich, Deng, Nociono, all expected to be in the fold for the Bulls next season from the one, two, and three spots on the court look pretty deep.

Deng and Noce are 3's. That leaves Kirk and Gordon as the only guards we are sure will be back. Duhon probably too. I'm not counting Piatkowski because he will only get spot minutes. I could see Finley coming in as a starter. It all depends on what the Bulls' plan is for Gordon. If you want to make room for him to get starter minutes, don't bother going after Finley. But using Finley as a starter, and keep bringing Gordon off the bench would make a stronger team in my opinion (short term). Starting PG and SG: Hinrich and Finley (Hinrich wouldn't have to defend 2-guards anymore, which is a big plus for this scenario!) First guards off the bench: Gordon and Duhon. Pie and Basden (both big guards, with specific qualities, first one a shooter, second one a good defender) to round out the team. We would have to let go of griffin and Pargo though... Pro's: - Finley is a better all round player at this point than Gordon, a leader, playoff exp. etc. - Hinrich would go back to being a full time PG, especially defensively, and that's a big plus like i said. I can't stress that enough !! Con's: - How will Gordon react to a prolonged 6th man status?
^^^pretty much the same thing I've been clamouring Chicago to do since I heard about Finley a couple weeks ago. Hinrich needs to be back at the point. Pairing him with Finley, and allowing Duhon and Gordon to come off the bench would only make the team deeper and stronger. The frontcourt, providing we sign Tyson and Eddy, will be fine. I would like to see us pull off getting a 4 or 5 through free agency. Even if we get both our young guys back, we only really have Davis returning for sure. No guarantee Othella is back. With Davis being able to play the 4 or 5, we can go for either position. We all would love to get Donyell Marshall back, however the price tag (without a S&T) will be out of reach. A guy who is familiar with Chicago, and could be a banger at the 4, is a UFA, and has been rehabbing crazy all summer, (and from what I heard is looking great) is Marcus Fizer. Bulls fans may have sour tastes do to his underahceiving as a #4 overall pick, however, his knee troubles look to be a thing of the past, and would be a nice enforcer down low. Just my .02 for now.
How many minutes would Andre get then, because Finley and Gordon would get the minutes at the two, and instead of being used as a swing man Andre would get like ten or fifteen minutes backing up Deng who could probably be a twenty point scorer playing thirty something minutes. Getting Finley would reduce Andre a good defender into the role that Green was reduced to last season with the 76ers.

Let's assume Deng develops like you say, and we also know from last season Skiles likes to go to a guard oriented, small-ball line-up. I could see Deng playing some 4 in such a situation, which would free up time at the 3 for Andres.
I edited the list, and removed the majority of the players who have already been signed this off-season, and highlighted the two John Paxson has listed as his main targets. I did not remove any of our free agents, because I have not seen/heard any official article thus far about any signings of Chandler, Curry, and Duhon so I am just going to leave them there until I here about a official contract.
I like Kerry Kittles as well, but doubt we can get him unless we offer him the full MLE. Which we can not offer him since we have to offer a partial amount of it to Chris Duhon. If he were to accept coming in in a mentor role for the LLE and have a chance to play for a playoff contender, and dare I saw title contender in the near future then it would be a welcomed addition. A couple guys I would be interested in seeing in a Bull uniform are Anthony Peeler, Shannon Anderson, and possibly a Linton Johnson return lol (that one is a joke). I really think we will only be able to sign one veteran player and resign Duhon with our MLE. I hope it is a shooting guard who was good during his day like a Kittles or someone of that nature, but most likely it will be Googs right now. We all saw the effect Davis? and for a short time Jerome Williams mentoring had on Chandler and Curry I think a good veteran guard could really help Gordon.
