2006 Justbball.com Mock Off-Season Rules Welcome to the 2006 version of the Justbball.com Mock Off-Season. The goal and objective of the game is to see who will improve their respective rosters the most over the course of a six week period. To make the game as realistic as possible, there will be all the features of a real NBA off-season in this Mock Off-Season. There will be a draft on around June 23rd, order being the same as what it is in the real NBA. The draft will take place in a Live AIM chat room (below for details) on the finalized date. If one is unable to attend the Live Draft, a big board will be collected from the person, and draft their pick accordingly. Soon after the draft there will be free agency, then a period to trade and improve your rosters. The entire off-season should end before August. Regarding trades, all trades (unless your under the salary cap) must be within 25% of the total salaries. Trades will then have to be approved by 75% of the commissioners (3 out of 4). Unless of course they make a trade, where I would approve of it (I'm not picking a team). In the event that a trade is ruled "unfair", the players will return to their respective teams. Same goes for if a trade doesn't work under the salary cap. All trades must be discussed on AIM, no exception. When you get your team we will PM you a Screen Name and Password to use during the Off-Season. You must use that Screen Name when you trade. You are allowed to change your password but keep in mind these are property of Justbball and the passwords will need to be changed back at the end of the off-season. Free agency is where you will make or break your team. During free agency you will send all your offers to myself and MrJ. He'll send his offers to me as well. When he is not involved in an offer we will determine weather the player will sign for money, sign for the location, sign for prestige, and all the good stuff. If MrJ (head of free agency) decides to make an offer, he'll send it to me where I'll determine with the other offers if he'll go to MrJ's team. Of course with restricted free agents, you have to offer more than the player's original team, who can offer as much as he wants. How to Determine the Winners?: There will be 3 different polls: A public poll, and Admin. poll, and a User GM poll. In the User poll, you must vote for another team, the poll will be public so we'll know if you tried to cheat us. We will then post the winners from each poll. By posting in this thread, you have agreed to all the above information and have agreed to stay active. If not, Fever and us, have the right to replace you.
