That pic could never happen in a college game or below. I still wouldn't do it as an NBA ref. But I'm sure that guys not an NBA guy.
Understood. He's just a guy with a whistle at a training camp scrimmage, but it does illustrate something C.J. already knows that Sheed never learned. Don't go out of your way to make the guys calling the games your mortal enemies. I taught my kids the same thing about waitresses years ago. Don't go out of your way to give someone who has the means and opportunity to spit in your food the motive to do so. BNM
Why is there no video from these practices? Props to Bruce Ely and all, but all we have are pictures. Even those 40 second clips from years past would do. Damn NBA decided to put our first preseason game on NBA TV all of a sudden, so I can't even watch that on League Pass as it was originally scheduled.
Here is a good article on Harkless from Blazer.com http://www.nba.com/blazers/happy-make-rip-city-home-harkless-hopes-build-playoff-breakout "At the urging of assistant coach Nate Tibbetts, along with trainers and friends, the St. John's product made it a point to stop following the flight of ball as it leaves his hand this offseason." "A lot of the time, he was playing with Chief [Al-Farouq Aminu]," Stotts said. "The versatility with him and Chief together at 3-4, we have versatility at both ends of the court, certainly. He has such a quick first step, quick bounce to the ball inside the paint. He’s really strong. I don’t know if people — I didn’t know until we started working with him — he’s got some deceptive strength down there. He can guard multiple positions, he can play multiple positions."
It's almost identical to what Portland went through with Roy/Oden. Everyone was getting hurt. I didn't believe in curses until Przybilla ruptured his patella two days after Oden's leg exploaded against Houston.
