Could be Cronin or Schmitz or someone trying to float rumors just to try and drum up the 2 FRP asking price. "A large amount of assets" would be a dream come true, although that's so abstract someone could try to sell 2nd round picks and worthless vets as being that.

Hoping not, but yeah after so many deadlines of zero Blazers action I'll also believe it when I see it.

I don't know who Evan Sidery is. Doesn't really matter

that just looks like a press release from the Blazer front office. Nobody from the F.O's of Phoenix or Dallas or Cleveland is going to say that the Blazers are receiving a lot of interest in those guys or that they would get a return a "large amount of assets". It's just not very credible

    Good point.

I'd think about the best case scenario is the Blazers have a deal or are very close to a deal that will be done Dec15th. The Blazers are just floating this story out there in an effort to get one final batch of offers from the league before they complete the deal, hoping some team decides to offer a bit more. You'd have to imagine Cronin and the front office sees the same stuff we see and may have some interest to ship out vets sooner than later.

My fear is these vets of our just don't have value and this is a story thats a desperate attempt to get something for these vets. Ultimately we'll just be stuck with them.

5 days until a lot of players become tradeable.

Did I miss the thread about how GT JR went from PDX to TOR to MIL?

Bucks are still an underrated title favorite because their role players have underperformed, but Dame and Giannis duo should never be undervalued.

Meaningless. OKC swept us 4-0 in 18-19 reg season and we beat them 4-1 playoffs.

Dame was awful in the series. Awful. It was his fault. He got beat by Jrue and Rondo, both championship winning PGs.

It’s not lazy. If you win game 7 by 1 point, you win the title. If you win the 3 seed by 1 win, you still win the 3 seed and HCA. We beat them to the 3 seed fair and square.

Ok so let’s get back on track. This thread went sideways because I said Jrue is better than Damr if you want playoff success. After everything said about the 2018 series, I still believe that. Prove me wrong. Celtics failed year after without Jrue. Bucks failed in both of Giannis’ MVP years but when Jrue got there, instant title.

Apparently it wasn't meaningless. For all the reasons I've mentioned.

I'm not disagreeing with that. I'm not sure why you're trying to argue with me.

Yes, he was playing against a team with three great defensive all stars. He was an offensively gifted all star without any help...

I didn't expect Portland to win that series unless Davis was injured 4 games.

Let's figure out a way to get in on that deal and send Ayton to New Orleans.

No lol I wish. Ayton wouldn't have that value even if Zion tore his Achilles.

Whatever Miami pieces they're giving to NOP route them here.

Maybe something along the lines of

    Mia CJ and Thybulle
    NOP Ayton
PDX Rozier, Duncan Robinson, and Jovic
