And here you all are still talking about a foul. I guess it worked. Perfect timing. Right as the Conference finals ended and during the week before the finals. The Olympics start mid July so figure there will be another big issue around the weekend of the 22nd of June to get them back in the news.
And I'm not at all saying it was right for Chennedy Carter to foul her like that. It wasn't a basketball play. And it certainly wasn't right of Reese to cheer it. It was unfortunate because it made this out to be something it's not. The league isn't out to hurt Caitlin Clark. Neither are the vast majority of the players. Reese deals with a lot because of the rivalry between her and Clark. And I think some of that has probably impacted her team as well. They've certainly felt it. I'm sure that played a part. That doesn't make it right, but it doesn't mean the whole league is behaving that way.
Caitlin Clark Flop Compilation. If you act this way you're going to have trouble gaining the respect of competitive people...
Let's stop beating a dead horse OK? Clark has said she's good, it's basketball. Read a column this morning. When Magic Johnson entered NBA there were many who thought he was over-hyped. He spent a lot of his rookie year on his butt. Magic was not over-hyped and showed it. So will Clark.
yeah...the blatant flop at :47 is an example of one of the reasons Clark is not getting much sympathy
hey...you were the one that brought up numbers. Sorry but there are other numbers than the ones you want to focus on
Sabrina had a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio before Breanna Stewart was with the liberty. And she also scored better, got more rebounds, and just as many assists, with better shooting percentages across the board...
WNBA game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever that featured the controversial foul on Caitlin Clark averaged over a MILLION and a half viewers - an over 300% increase from 2023 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/w...ever-game-averaged-million-caitlin-clark.html
God forbid Clark tears an ACL and is out for the season, but we would then see if people are tuning in for her or these other players. Pretty sure I saw a stat that five of six top attended games Clark was playing in.
They are definitely tuning in for Clark. I don't think anybody is really denying that. But everyone else is part of the story as well. And I'm not really sure what it means that everyone is tuning in for her. Should they just stop guarding her so she can shoot a respectable percentage? Should they stop stealing the ball from her so she doesn't lead the league in turnovers?
I read somewhere that she is being defended as if it is game seven of the finals. Her team sucks and can't help her. They will have to flip the entire roster to maximize her talents. Until then she will have some good games and some meh games.
I have never watched a women’s basketball game I wasn’t working until this past spring’s Iowa games. My daughter, wife, parents and in-laws either. She is simply the reason every new fan is watching, like her or not.
That's fine. Hype is a thing. But it's also not really relevant. They aren't just going to stop playing defense on her so she can score like she did in college, where her length was a much bigger advantage. They aren't just going to be happy about her flopping and whining at the refs.
Yeah, when you get drafted high you generally go to a bad team. That's pretty typical. Her team gets the ball up the court just fine when she's on the bench. She has teammates who have been just as effective as she has.
