To debut on NYE, opponent TBA. The Japanese PRIDE (Yakuza) guys were notorious for switcheroo business practices and it looks like we got that again tonight. Sakakibara is forming a new MMA league and Fedor is the centrepiece. However the league may only last one or two events. Fedor didn't sign with Bellator despite them announcing it on Bellator. There will be Bellator fighters on the card but he may not face one. It's goddamn co-promotion again! With a guy who wasn't even involved in MMA in Sakakibara. What the hell? Honestly. Apparently Fedor wants complete control of his career. Good for him. Not so much for us? http://giphy.com/gifs/3oEduSi3c6trzx1rfa
Minakov is the best opponent that Bellator could offer up but Fedor is unlikely to fight another Ruskie. I don't know who they can dig up to fight him.
