LA are not a deep team, so our bench have to make a run within the econd quarter and not go to half time trailing. Matt, Lamond, Milt, and Donyell must play with energy defensively like they did vs the Bucks. - Penetration: Other than Chris Mihm who might be considered a shot blocker, the Lakers don't have a blocking presence down low. No settling for jump shots, penetrate and kick. Also, we should run most of our offence through Chris and Jalen on the post. - Defensive Energy: The last two games, we've done a very good job of eliminating penetration and have contained the other team's best player. Carter and Redd were combined of 13-47 against the Raps in the last two games, and that's mostly becuase of the unbelievable job Mo has done defensively. Try to contain Kobe and shut down the others is the main key for every team that faces the Lakers. ....... MatchUp Of The Game: vs Lamar Odom vs Chris Bosh On offence, Bosh might find it difficult to take advantage of Odom since he matches his quickness and stentgh. Chris has to be confident in his shot and attack Odom/Mihm at every possible chance to get to the line. He's done a great job at getting to the charity sytripe the last month. Defensively, he should return the favour to Odom. He has to avoid the fakes and play him straight up. ....... The X-Factor: Rafer Alston Although he's been hitting his shots, Skip is the man running the offence so he has to make sure everybody gets involved, specially Chris. He's the third option and sometimes the fourth behind Bosh, Rose and Peterson. So if he lets the game come to him and uses his quickness against Chucky, everything will take care of itself. Look for Rafer to have a good game. ....... Say What?! (Prediction) Undefeated after the All Star break, the Raps are looking to make three straight after two impressive wins on the road. A Sunday afternoon game and the boys will be up for Kobe and company. Raps win, 107-94.

.......

Who's the cheerleader? Also you should have a picture of mop girl Anyways, I think we can take this game since were at home, and Sunday is for the most part a good day for us. I don't know about Kobe though, I see another big game from him because we really don't have anyone that can keep up with him, or anyone who can score enough to make him work a lot defensively. Anyways, Raptors 101 - Lakers 98, Kobe scores 30+ points on like 44% shooting, and gets his share of turnovers. Bosh should to good in this game, though Odom is a guy that can match his athletic ability, he should get 20+ if he get's the ball.
Kobe takes 40 shots, gets 40 points in 40 minutes. The only time the game is tied was for the first 40 seconds. Any other Laker other than Kobe had possesion of the ball for no more than 40 seconds. The Lakers lose by 40. MVP Milt has 40 assists without breaking a sweat. Raptors win by 40!

Quoting og15:

Who's the cheerleader? Also you should have a picture of mop girl
That's Milt's personal massoose Na man, the mop girl missed up so many times. And caused us the Mavericks game by not mopping the floor right, therefore Bosh slipped in crunch time. We can't even get mop girls to do their job right, we should've traded her when her value was high
Let's see if we can beat a winning team after beating two losing teams on the road. Holding Kobe Bryant to bad shots and keeping the ball off his hands should be our key priority. Mo Pete, Rose, and whoever else will be guarding him will need to play smart and keep in front of Kobe's numerous drives. We either limit Kobe, or limit his supporting cast. Bosh needs to make Odom work on defense and Araujo should use his six fouls wisely. Then again, when doesn't he? Key statline: Milt Palacio- 12 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, game winner! Raps by 4.
i would say milt drops 15 -8-8-1-3 1 block 3 steals!!!! lol I say Raps win. mo shuts Kobe down to like 28 points. 102-87
Well, Kobe has 21 at halftime already, but the Raptors are on top by 10, 65-55. 6 players with 8 points or more, led by Donyell with 14. Even Araujo made a nice start, a good post move, and then drew a foul then hit two free throws. Donyell's hot play has kept him on the bench though. The Raptors looked really good in the first half. Odom and Butler are going 4-10 combined, for only 10 points. Limit them and Kobe can do whatever he wants, but not win the game.
Raps Win Raps Win. Great job by everyone. Bosh's help defence was great. Mo's defence on Kobe was amazing. I didn't like what went on in the match up between Chucky and Skip, but we got the win nonetheless. Jalen, what can you say really?? He outplayed Kobe (the supposed best cruch time player) big itme in the clutch.
Our defense came up big in the clutch, two critical LA turnovers iced the game for us. We never lost heart even when we went down with 2 minutes left, and came back to win the game. Rose was once again amazing. When he gets into the post he's unstoppable. Not a good shooting night for Bosh but he was a monster on the boards.
man that vwas a fun game!!! now we face san antonio, they are gonna be pissed and be looking for revenge we gotta hit em hard and quick i cant wait for the next game! good game today.
i really thought our local heroes would lose, giving up the lead then winning. and whats up with the laker defense?
The 2nd time we win 3 games in a row, the first time, was in the first season games. And again we saw how much D-Marsh and Jalen Rose are important players for our young team, what we was needed in the fourth quarter is seniority- and Rose and Marshall both have the experience to shoot well in the fourth quarter and when we need- to win the game.

Quoting shapecity:

How come Mihm only played 11 minutes?
Foul trouble.
Well Kobe did have a good game with 30-8-8, and he shot good too, but we came out with the win. Our usual three point barrage helped us get the win, and Marshall continued his hot three point shooting. Bosh didn't play so hot going 6-15 and not getting to the line once, but he was good on the glass with 15 rebounds, and he had 3 blocks. Alston was good with his mid-range jumper today, and Rose played good. Good win, our defense was back to the old ways with the Lakers shooting 51% FG and 50% 3PT, but they had 18 turnovers. On to San Antonio
taking on the strongest 2/3's of the texas triangle means the raps will be 10 games under .500 this time next week. and i think the lakers were too giddy about the oscars tonight, btw i hope million dollar baby sweeps the oscars tonight.
kobe was ok tonight, but his team was awful. that's why they lost the game, and that's why i will choose Lebron over kobe anytime. Great win for the Raptors but can they keep it up without the one and only VINCE CARTER????
