Pre-Game Notes

<ul>Yao Must Perform - This is insane how Yao has not stepped it up. In some game, hopefully sometime soon, it might just hit him. As of right now, he needs to carry the team on his back. He wasn't the number one pick to be outclassed by undrafted players. Dominance on the court comes with being a leader. And if that means for him to scream at his teammates, so be it.
<ul>DEFENSE - Please Rockets, don't get lit up. Play perimeter defense, double team, know your assignments. This new team the Rockets are becoming is not what any of us had expected and a 60 win season isn't so hopefull when you're 3-10.
<ul>Van Gundy Issue - Though the Fire Gundy threads have started, he is still an ingenious coach. Without our star player even suiting up, we have come close on many occasions. Van Gundy is toying with the Roster, finding the best fit. Even though some of us may not agree with what he is doing, it's better now than in March or April.
<font size="1">Random Seinfeld Quote:
Elaine: Yeah. What do you do all day?

George: Not that much.

Elaine: uh-uh.

Jerry: I thought that new promotion was supposed to be a lot more work.

George: Yeah, when the season starts. Right now, I sit around pretending that I'm busy.

Jerry: How do you pull that off?

George: I always look annoyed. Yeah, when you look annoyed all the time, people think that you're

busy. Think about it... (acts annoyed for 3 seconds).

Elaine: Yeah, you do! He looks very busy!

Jerry: Yeah, he looks busy! Yeah!

George: I know what I'm doin'. In fact Mr. Wilhelm gave me one of those little stress dolls.

Sadly, Yao has disappeared yet again. Third quarter already and he's 0-5 from the floor and 3-4 from the line with just 4 rebounds. The Rockets look lost as a team without McGrady. No one is particularly hot, and there will be someone who needs to step up and take over if we are to win this game. We've managed to stay in it so far, but it's slipping away fast.

Yao actually shot good in the 4th quarter, too bad it was too late. 6th straight loss for the rockets.

Yao did a good job in the last quater. He just played reversely as previous games. Blasting in the 4th quater, but disappeared in the first three. But nobody can make the crucial shots for the team and lost the game in the last a few minutes again. That's too bad. JVG should be fired, others should be blamed evenly. They are just lethargic in the game. Ugly !

JVG is a very good defensive coach, but offensively, he relies too much on scorers like T-mac. Without him, look what happens. Doesn't matter if we only lose by 3-6 pts and opponents had only 85 pts, a lose is a still a lose.

We just couldnt stop Battier or Jones when it mattered most...I'm shocked at how open we keep leaving players even when we know they're burning us...sometimes JVG's stubborness costs him, and it has cost us a lot of games...

JVG should make Yao run sprints every time he tried to lay up the ball when hes closer than 5 feet from the basket...he needs to be dunking that...his lack of aggressiveness and such is wasting offensive possessions for us...

Leaving people open when it matters actually still doesn't still persuade some people that we have the worst defense in the league...not the best or even 'good' lol. These are problems we see through the naked eye. Nothing underlying that requires stats. It's that simple...and as you said, obvious..leaving the same guys open and keep punishing the rockets. If this isn't JVG's fault, then i feel sorry for the stupidity of his players. IT's not difficult for a good coach to not leave the 3 open. It's scary when Yao is the one running out late to guard the 3 when his job is to stay inside and box for rebounds.

Maybe yao doesn't like being physical and doesn't want to fight for the rebound or box out

You know what we need? Bob Sura. Not because he's a good player, but because he's so damned competitive. I want to see him on the sidelines at least trying to light a fire under the Rockets.

Another game, another loss...This is getting pathetic, I know we're without our star but the fact that we can't win one game without him is crazy, whats even more crazy is we had a 11-0 start to the game!...

Ugh...

Didn't catch the game, but I expected us to lose at Memphis. Hopefully we can recover and start a little win streak tomorrow. Our upcoming games are very winnable, with or without McGrady.

i think nobody should be blamed after 6 straight loss.u know,it's what Rockets are right now,so what we should do is to support Rockets.no matter they win or lose again and again...
is there anybody who still believes Rockets could get into Playoffs?
well,my answer is 'yes,i do' !
Rockets go!
