Sorry for the no show preview, I'm down in Maryland and couldn't find time. Plus I forgot I had one. Anyways, we lost 92-90. McGrady and Swift had some great games, but the rest of the team didn't step it up. The thing that irks me the most is that this is probably one of the games we easily would have won with Yao. Instead, we're still lacking a third option and no body else showed up. We need a better team effort. Discuss.

Argh, Juwan Howard missed quite a few shots that would have gone in any other game. He had a nice driving layup which rimmed out, then got the rebound but missed the putback. If I don't remember wrong, that basket would have tied the game at 90-90, which would have guaranteed a whole different ball game.

Stromile Swift had a great game, but sadly that will mean he'll follow that up with five bad ones. Going to him down the stretch with 1.8 seconds to go was smart considering TMac was blanketed, he just had a tough shot with too little time to set up.

Well atleast this game showed us how unclutch one player is and dat player is juwan howard. He had an open lay up no one on him missed that than he had another chance for an open lay up and once again missed again. During this game we also see how stromile swift can play. Now the thing is we have to see if this is his comming out party or if this is just a one good game. Lets just hope this is his comming out party and that he will be our inside punch to mcgrady's outside until yao gets back when he can be the one who jus lives off of them as our third option if he really does do this consistently now. See Swift does way better when they make him take it to the basket and get him to cut to beat his man.

The last 2 games could have been won by the Rockets but it's just too bad they failed. TMac's second half absence against the Jazz is acceptable but it's hard to imagine the bad timing of his wife's delivery. Most of us would think what's the next thing that will happen to the Rockets? Another injury again?

Another thing is on te assist department. TMac is the only one that makes plays and because of his ability to draw double/triple team he can pass the ball to the open man. The rest of the healthy rockets players are average or below average passers. Poor ball rotation and always bad shooting night contributes to the Rockets' cause of being one of the last in league assists.

Too many times you can see those wide open shots(especially to Bowen) and easy layups being missed. Early in the season you can say that it will improve along but this is just too much of a waiting. Fifth game out of six without cracking at least 40% FG shooting oh common. The rockets' offense are in chaos. Waiting for Yao, Anderson, Sura, Barry and Anderson to come back seems forever right now.

Rockets are pathetic. I bet they are the worst team in the league now. Not to mention players are not aggressive, except Swift. How many open shots have Howard and Wesley missed today? Players other than Yao and T-Mac gotta pick up some confidence and shoot. T-Mac have been doubeled or triple teamed, and given teamates a chance for open shot. Just nobody can make it. Alright, it happens in couple games is ok. But it has been the case for every game. I see ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE to this team this season. [IMG] Hawks and Hornets got great rookie players. I love Jush Smith, JR Smith, and Chri Paul's play. What do we have? Rockets not only play bad now, they have no future either. Sigh~

No future? We have a whole lot more of a future than almost any team in the league! Josh Smith, Childress and Paul are great young guys, but it doesn't look like any of them can be future McGradys. Meanwhile, we have McGrady and Yao who are both under the age of 27, Swift at 26, and Head and Graham at 23. Yao and TMac aren't even in their primes yet!

Where was all the optimism coming into the season?

Rockets are the worst team in the league right now.

L.Head isn't taken the ball to the lane enough IMO.
He's getting more touches, and settling for the outside shot. He is quick enough to get to the hole, and shows it every now and then, but not enough lately since his shot has cooled off.

Stro's hustle showed what he can do when he hustles. Hopefully the next time will be in less then two weeks. They will need it in the next game against Golden State.

what a GREAT game by Swift .. that's the swift we were looking for.. bad news that we lost though... bad officials we could've went into overtime if the called a foul on D.Mason for pushing t-mac out of bounds.. but what can i say....
