Hey is there something wrong with the box scores? coz it says, t-mac has made 5 fg, 2 3pts and 7 fts as of now, that should add up 23 pts doesn't it? How come it only says 19pts in total? And jim jackson has 5 fg, 2 3pt, shouldn't that add to 16 pts? Why does it say 12 pts in the total? And if you add the last column together its 65... Anyone else notice the mistake? Correct me if I'm wrong
Easiest way to explain it is to give you an example, so I'll use the stats you gave for Tracy. He has 5 field goals, 2 three's, and 7 free throws. What this means is that he has 5 TOTAL field goals. Those 5 field goals include the 2 threes. Therefore, he has 3 two's (6 points), 2 threes (6 points), and 7 free throws (7 points). 6 + 6 + 7 = 19

There are certainly nights where the ball just doesn't bounce the right way. Tonight was not one of those nights. The reason the Rockets lose games to bad teams is because they have no passion. They seem to have no self respect either. A good team does not lose an 11 point lead to an expansion team and then just 5 days later let that same team beat them on their home court. It's like the saying "Fool me once, shame on you...fool me twice, shame on me." You just don't let that happen if you've got any heart. They didn't even seem to play hard at times tonight, which isn't acceptable. It just bothers me that they don't ever seem to take anything personal. They don't get mad. A team will never get very far at all if they can't get mad every once in a while.
I can't say I'm too surprised with this result. The Rockets haven't really played well at all during the homestand, except in that blowout win. How dissapointing and humiliating was this loss? Let's count the ways: 1. We had just lost to this team in Charlotte in embarassing fashion not more than a week ago. 2. Charlotte was on the road where they had yet to win a game all year 3. Charlotte had the played the night before, whereas the Rockets were well rested. 4. They lost Gerald Wallace in the third quarter to injury. 5. They're an EXPANSION team, and we supposedly have two superstars on our team. So, the Rockets weren't good enough to overcome an short-handed, win-less, tired expansion team on the road. Go Rockets. I'm starting to have real doubts that this Rockets team can make the playoffs. We have too many players with loser mentalities on this squad.
Dont give McGrady any compassion here, he may have played well msot of the game but when it came on the line he cost us the game. Im no saying he did not play hard for most of the game but you can also say he made a bad decision down the stretch. Also when Yao gets his shot blocked 3 times, by a guard, you know somethings wrong, he never jumps ever, he thinks cause hes 7'5 he cant be reached. The team needs personel changes, big ones.
I can't figure out why the Rockets would go for two points with under 10 seconds left and down by 3. It makes no sense. Yao was getting stripped all game, and McGrady should have realized that our best chance was for him to just take the 3 pointer and hope we get an offensive board if he misses.
Yep, they were obviously trying to extend the game. However, at that point in time you have to play the percentages. I'd say the chances of McGrady making a 3 pointer in that situation, given that he was at home, would probably be in the high 30%'s. I would venture to guess that a chance of about 1 out of 3 is better than the chance of making the 2, having the other team miss 1 or both FT's, and then making another 2 to tie or win. Should have just gone for 3 there.
Yeah when I think it was Jason Hart missed that second free throw, I was thinking YAY! now we go for three then I see the next set of writing (I was watching play by plays) and it said Bob Sura makes 2 pt Layup. I was completely confused on what was going on..
this team just keeps pissin me off, they have no heart........we have a team filled with a bunch of losers so we have a losers mentallity....hell I say trade anyone except for T Mac......I'm sorry but Yao is in his 3rd year and this guy is lucky if he's going to be another Rik Smits........I know the rockets won't trade him because that's why tmac came here and having Yao brings in a lot of money, but damnit START PLAYING LIKE YOU'RE 7'6.....I'm sorry if I seem like I'm out of control but when you lose to the charlotte bobcats twice, there is no excuses..............I'm going to go watch old rockets championship footage now!!!
rockets never give any respect to lesser teams. thats why i think we lose against subpar teams. i mean we kick ass when playing playoff caliber teams.... i dunno
