The Rockets look to continue their hunt for .500 against the Warriors

TV: FSNSW (local)
Radio: 610 Sports Radio (local)

Probable Lineups:

Point Guard -

Rockets: Bob Sura
[IMG]

Warriors: Speedy Claxton
[IMG]

This is one of the more even match-ups today, both guards haven't proven their real worth, and we all know both of them can do better.

Advantage: Even

Shooting Guard -

Rockets: Tracy McGrady
[IMG]

Warriors: Jason Richardson
[IMG]

The high-flying Richardson, takes on another high-flyer in McGrady. Tracy should win this battle, as Jason has been inconsistent and may lack the defense to stop T-mac.

Advantage: Rockets

Small Forward -

Rockets: Jim Jackson
[IMG]

Warriors: Mike Dunleavy
[IMG]

Warriors win this.. JJ is slow and aging, Dunleavy is young, athletic and is finding rythm.

Advantage: Warriors

Power Forward -

Rockets: Juwan Howard
[IMG]

Warriors: Troy Murphy
[IMG]

Somewhat of an even matchup, Murphy came off a big night, I thinhk the Warriors win this.

Advantage: Warriors

Center -

Rockets: Yao Ming
[IMG]

Warriors: Clifford Robinson
[IMG]

Clifford Robinson is one of those Centers that can give Yao problems, but Yao can put up big numbers against the shaky Warrior defense.

Advanatge: Rockets

<u>KEYS TO THE GAME</u>

<ul>Get Yao involved early and often. Yao has to step up,without him, I don't see us winning.
<ul>Don't let a lead slip. We can't afford to let any lead slip, as the Warriors are a deadly team when they have a chance.
<ul>Mr. Jeff Van Gundy -- let these guys play. Not just McGrady, but Yao too. If he's taking jumpers, so what, he's making em'. Let the team play together, and let them play their type of basketball.
Prediction: The Rockets will win if they can control possesion and tempo, which they should be able to do with defense. Expect them to be ready and hungry for a W.

Rockets: 93

Warriors: 86

Sorry for the short position by position preview, and for any typos .. I'm in a rush..

The Rocket should win this, and if they don't it would probably be the most dissapointing loss of the year. There are really no excuses not to win this game handily.

I think the Warriors can win this one.

Good preview!, I think rockets will take this 92-86, but the warriors have beaten some good teams so I wouldn't be overconfident...

Very nice. It seems as if he's the hot one tonight, and that has translated into a 17-point Rocket lead. We are doing very good on the boards tonight, 48 rebounds at the end of three quarters, and Yao has 17 rebounds to go with 15 points. We have an easy win on our hands tonight, barring a miraculous comeback by Golden State.

GREAT GAME by tmac, sura, and yao against a scrubby team..but it's a pity boki is in the doghouse. Yao had 15 rebounds without playing most of the 4th. But its against the warriors..if we beat a good team then i'm convinced we're a better team under jvg. It's sad that Barrett's minutes are taken by JVG's chick Ty Lue. She's very disappointing but that's JVG's style, ty lue had like 4 fouls.

So now the Rockets are one game to .500. That is excellent, considering we were 6-11 at one point. We have now won 5 of our last 6 games.

GO ROCKETS!!!!!!!!!!!

even though the past two games were against terrible teams, i am real happy because we played like champs by having 20 point wins. Hopefully this can fuel them.

I don't care man, I'll take any type of wins, all I want is a playoff appearance! Going deep is next year's goal [IMG]

The Warriors were foolish for not double teaming T-Mac and Yao. The Rockets are a very poor passing team, and the star players need to be forced to give up the ball.
