I love the Yankee hate. The Bosox have more holes than we do. I'd probably rank the Blue Jays second behind the Yankees. It's funny how a preseason injury to Wang puts the Yankees out of first for everyone else here.

I agree, the Mets pitching staff is horrific. They have one hell of a batting order. One of the bests in the league along with the Jays, Cubs(It could be real lethal) and to an extent the Yanks. But pitching it everything.

A back 3 of Maine, Perez, and Pelfrey (Who by the way all have an ERA of 3.51 or Lower this Spring so far) is a definate upgrade from what they started with last season. As for the Career Years...The Offense didn't really have much in career years. Beltran put up 38 Home Runs and a 900 OPS in 2004 with KC/HOU. So is 41 and another 900 OPS year that much of a career year? Valentin had 5 consecutive 25 Home Runs seasons for Chicago before he went to LA and got injured, so is his hitting 18 really a suprise? Delgado actually saw his batting average DROP 35 points due to a miserable slump for 2 months. Reyes and Wright were 23 years old so you expect them to get better as part of progressing as a player. The only real career years on the Offense last year was Endy Chavez and Paul Lo Duca, and that was due to them learning that they don't have to swing for the Fences every time up, and just spray singles over the field. A skill that they shouldn't lose when it comes to this season.The only real 'Career Seasons' was on the Mets Pitching Staff, and that would be due to having quite possibly the best Pitching Coach in All of Baseball, if not he's certaintly in the Top 5. And he's back again for the next 3 seasons.

The Yanks pitching staff is just......yikes and the Bo Sox also have a yikes Pitching the Staff. The Jays easily have a pitching advantage on both squad. As Doc Halladay is one of the Top 3 pitchers in Baseball and BJ Ryan is one of the TOp 3 closers in Baseball. if Burnett can somehow preform a miracle a stay healthy and we can get something out of Chacin Ohka and Zambrano then we can have this divison without even needing to fight.
The Blue Jays are David against 2 goliaths in the Yanks and Sox. Their pitching rotations arent yikes. The Yankees have improved their rotation with Petite and Igawa and the Red Sox improved it with Dice-K. Their offenses are top in the league and both have solid bullpens. You're expecting a miracle from Zambrano which wont happen. He was shit in the NL, how can he do in the AL? The season is primed for another Yanks Sox dogfight for the Division title.

With the amount of young talent they have on their Offense, if they can even put togeather average pitching, I could very well see them going .500 or better. They're my suprise team going into this year.As for Toronto, they have the makings of a good team as well, I just tend to think that the Yankees and Red Sox are going to be the class of that division, and that Toronto and Tampa Bay will be scrapping it out for 3rd place hovering around .500 for most of the season. And Baltimore well....good luck.

But cmon man, you know as well as I do that the rest of their pitching staff is full of either reclamation projects or never-was type players and because of that I'd take both the Yankees and Red Sox staffs over it. I'd personally be suprised if you can get anything out of that crew of arms.Did Zamby make the rotation? I'll tell you right now he is going to be the most frustrating pitcher to watch as one start he can look dominant, and the very next start he either can't miss a bat to save his life or can't get the ball near the Strike Zone.
