Okay, if the Ducks are going to make a statement and show they are on elite level they must win this Bowl game. Quote source: http://espn.go.com/blog/pac12/post/_/id/31006/oregon-needs-to-wtd-on-jan-2 They need to look back at their national championship game against Auburn in 2011 and see what they did wrong. They need to look at their USC game this past season and see where they messed up. They need to win this for their BCS record, their coaches, their alumni, and their fans.
They cannot and should not look backwards. It's all about the next game and how to win it. The next game just happens to be the Rose Bowl. Whether they beat Auburn last year or USC this year is irrelevant. They must prepare for--and win--the Rose Bowl. Ed O.
Maybe "looking back" is something you do when you're a three season win team and haven't been to a bowl in X years, but when you're preparing for a game this big, you DON'T look back. Chip prepares the team for each game at hand. Each day. Win THE Day. The kids need this win for them. No one else. As a fan, I'm just lucky enough to be along for the ride. GO DUCKS!
The two games w3e lost this year we, literally, fumbled away. Simple as that. We beat ourselves. All we learn from that is to take care of the ball. That's job #1. Beyond that, better play calling and I think we're home free. Also, we need to deal with all the TV timeouts not allowing us to effectively wear down the other team.
