<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">"Excepting, of course, the proverbial offer they cannot refuse, the Celts don't have much business on their docket between now and training camp. The club is still looking for a veteran point guard to steady the position, and a number of league sources have said that, yes, the C's are doing their level best to find a new home for Mark Blount and his contract (a little more than $5.8 million this season with four more to follow)." Boston Herald

"That might be a longshot at best, but, interestingly, the Celts are said to be willing to include Marcus Banks in the deal to make it work. They haven't given up hope that Banks' head will match his physical gifts; rather this is a sign as to how much they'd like to clear Blount's attitude from the dressing room. Assuming Banks is still with the club, you can expect the Celts to pick up his option for 2006-07. They have to do so by the end of October." Boston Herald

"The Celts may get to see Taylor Coppenrath at their training camp in October, but the Vermont star is mulling some European offers." Boston Herald</div>

I would love to see Coppenrath at camp after the summer league. He surprised me, or rather didn't surprise me, but showed his steady best in a big way. I hope we get to see him perform on a grander stage and really REALLY, desperately hope they can unload Mark Blount before too much longer. I think he's the first player I've ever said (and meant) I hated. But I hate him, a lot.
