With Vlade Divac's contract expiring (makes 12 million this year) and Funderburke's 3.6 million dollar contract being erased off their salary, what should Sacramento do in preparation for next season? I believe they should resign Daris Songalia, in my opinion he's shown great potential. They should also resign Vlade (if he doesn't retire), perhaps to a 2 year 12 million dollar deal.

The question is, what does Sacramento do about their bench next year? It's obviously been a drop off from last season and now Peeler, Massenburg, and Songalia are all free agents next season leaving more holes in their bench once again. Should Sacramento try and make some moves now that Divac will presumable be making ALOT less? Perhaps move some draft picks and some players in hopes of strengthening the bench? What do you guys think?

Another quick question, is Doug Christie worth keeping around? He's due to make 7 million per season until 2005-2006. Now I know he's great defensively but if you could move him along with some draft picks for a more quality and perhaps younger player should SAC pull the trigger?

    Just some possibilities to ponder...

I think we should sign Vlade Divac to a one year deal. He's old, so signing him to a big contract would be foolish. I think he'll retire if the Kings win it all this year. We should keep Christie. I don't know if replacing him with a draft pick would be a smart thing to do. We should definitely fill the holes in our bench with some good draft picks. Darius Songailia was a great acquisition. He plays great off the bench, we should definitely keep him and watch him grow as a player and reap the benefits lol. Peeler should stay. I think the Kings are looking pretty good right now, there's no immediate changes that need to be made. The way we're playing reflects that.

Doug Christie is worth keeping around. He's a great passer that adds to the sactown play(don't need to mention the D).The reason why I don't think sactown needs young players is because you need a really mature player to click with the way the kings play. So, i think they should resign songaila and peeler. Massenburg, I don't know. I'd rather get a really solid shot blocker.

Another vote for a shot blocker. Keon Clark was a good fit, I thought. Someone like him should come off the bench. Christie should stay as long as the Kings are in the mix like this.
