Signed Reece Gaines to his rookie contract that starts at 1.1 million a year. Resigned Andrew Declerq to a 2 year deal that starts at 2.4 million a year Signed Zaza Pachilia to a 1 year .3 million contract Signed Britton Johnsen Signed Rick Apodeca Lost Darell Armstrong to the New Orleans Hornets Pat Burke to Free Agency Shawn Kemp to Free Agency Olumide Oyedeji to Free Agency Jacque Vaughn to the Atlanta Hawks Chris Whitney to the Washington Wizards The Skinny: The Orlando Magic were in desperate need to upgrade this offseason, with GM John Gabriel and coach Doc Rivers's jobs on the line. The upgraded a lot. They went out and got some much needed offensive help for tmac, by getting veteran forward Juwan Howard. The key to this year will be how Gooden and Howard are going to fit together. After a couple of years of draft busts, it looks like they finally had a great draft. Reece Gaines is looking to come right in and fit in right away as someone who can spot up and drain shots. 2nd rounders Zaur Pachilia and Keith Bogans both impressed during the summer league, playing better than most of the 1st rounders. The Magic organization got robbed, when they applied for an injury exception for Grant Hill that got denied. It's speculated that if they got that exception, then they would have signed top big man Micheal Olowakandi. If they got Kandi, then their grade would have been an A+. This is Doc Rivers do or die year, they have to advance past the first round. Grade: B+

Yeah they have done really well just imagine if Grant could return that thought must bring tears to MAGIC fans eyes. Howard,Gooden,Hill,Tmac,Lue if only But I must say if Gooden and Howard cant combine early another deal may eventuate
