<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Laurence Farah: New team, new city; have you changed any of your off-season workout routines?
Al: No, not really. One thing that we're doing that we didn't do last year is get a lot of time playing with the guys, early. Playing full court, get a chance to play together before training camp. That's a big advantage for us.

LF: How is the chemistry-building process going with the all the new guys?
Al: It's going real well. It's real easy to adjust, because most of the guys I know and I've played with before. So it's real easy.

LF: Has the transition been easier because you've played with so many of the guys before; some in AAU during high school and others with the Celtics?
Al: Yeah. It helps a lot. Especially me and Cory (Brewer), we've known each other since high school. Me and Rashad (McCants), (Ryan) Gomes and all us came up together. Ricky (Davis), Mark Blount, I've played with them before with the Celtics. So almost everybody here I've played with and know how they play. Randy (Foye) is the only one that I really haven't played with, but we're learning to play well together real quick.

LF: Have you had a chance to work one-on-one with Kevin McHale yet?
Al: Yeah, but not one-on-one, he worked out with all the big guys. There'd be three of us: me, Gomes and big Chris (Richard). That's one of the things I was looking forward to: to get a chance to work with McHale, and steal some of his stuff. So that's a big advantage, too.

LF: What's been the most fun about meeting the new guys and playing with them and adjusting to their style of play?
Al: Just getting to know them off the court, getting to know them a lot better on the court. We hang out a lot, go out to eat a lot. So, we're always together. We don't live that far from each other, so we're always at one another's house. That's the good thing about it.</div></p>

I think Al Jefferson will develop into a really solid player. I stand by my word: two years from now: he'll be a 20, 10 PF.

I wish the Nets would have traded up to get him in 2004.
